The Manor Hotel in Delhi upgraded us to the suite, and we had our own outdoor patio. The staff there couldn’t have been nicer and the food was to die for. We met a a group of women who just finished the first all women’s trek to Antarctica. Amazing night!

Rob and Vici M. recently wrote to share how much they loved a Poe-planned ski trip in Colorado with their children—and, it turns out, a mysterious companion called “Flat Stanley” shown here. Just who is that handsome stranger? And, more importantly, when do we get to meet him?
Skiing was wonderful. You did a great job once again! Crystal Peak Lodge is the best! Here is Vici and Flat Stanley from Arkansas. Thanks again!

From Phyllis:
We had a wonderful trip! Trails of Indochina did an outstanding job in itinerary planning, and their guides were excellent.
I was concerned about being in Vietnam over Tet, but the experience of seeing the fabulous Tet flower displays and all the families strolling up and down the avenue day and night was great. It seems to be a custom to dress up the children for Tet and take their pictures in front of the flower displays. Adorable. Thanks for all of your help and guidance in planning the trip.
From Dick:
I concur with Phyllis’ report in all respects. Thanks so much for your good work!
We especially appreciated Fred’s recommendation of the Bobby Chinn restaurant in Hanoi. The food was as good as any we had in Vietnam, and I can’t begin to describe the ambiance—the most unusual we’ve ever encountered.
Kelly S. from Chicago
Judging by the sheer number of exclamation points and all-caps in her email, Chicago-based Interior Designer Kelly Stevenson had a FABULOUS Poe-planned honeymoon in Argentina! Here’s a taste of her testimonial:
“Our trip was fantastic! We absolutely loved everything. We had the BEST time! THANK YOU! El Casco was so quiet and perfect. The staff was great, the food was excellent, and our room was charming. The first day we spent relaxing at the hotel getting massages and enjoying the gorgeous view from the hot tub. The other two days we took the boat tour to Isla Victoria and went hiking . . . we also went to lunch at Llao Llao. It was fun to experience but you guys were right on with your recommendation-El Casco was definitely the winner!”
In sum:
Favorite memory: horseback riding to a river where a picnic awaited the newlyweds
Favorite night: dinner at Colibri, complete with wine tasting, three delicious Malbecs, an assortment of local meats and cheeses, and asada. Live band included.
Favorite travel agent: Poe Travel—naturally.
A memorable mother/daughter trip
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful arrangements you made for our trip to Austria! We had an amazing time, and it truly was the trip of a lifetime!
We saw and heard so much wonderful music while we were there. Seeing “Faust” at the Vienna State Opera was fabulous . . . The Vienna Boys’ choir was literally heaven to hear . . . In both Vienna and Salzburg we attended masses and concerts at a number of the Cathedrals. The music was again wonderful and we were in awe of the beauty of the churches.
On my mother’s Birthday we went on the Majestic Imperator Dinner Train which was a wonderful recommendation – very elegant and special.
The arrangements you made for us with private drivers and tour guides was really wonderful for both of us. Thank you so much, Ellison, for a truly amazing trip! Best wishes for many years of continued success!

Just back and still a bit wobbly from the time change, but we all had such a very special trip to India, and I wanted to thank you both for planning such a great time for us. The guide was super, and the local guides were very good—down to the drivers. Could not have asked for better or more professional treatment. The hotels were the best; we especially loved the newly renovated Hotel in Varanasi! It made you feel as if you were back in colonial days in someone’s private home; the bedrooms were to die for, and the grounds were special. It’s worth going to that location just for the hotel! Super, super trip! Thank you!

The Alvear is perfect in every way. Many thanks for making the reservations with the fine accommodations. Rio was fun, and the guide Cecilia was good and most knowledgeable. The food in the main resaraunt at the Copacobana is wonderful, and the service is excellent.
