Montana is frequently referred to as “Big Sky Country,” and where better to marvel at the seemingly endless sky than from a traditional homestead? This is what you’ll find when you visit the wonderfully all-inclusive Ranch at Rock Creek. From the minute you land, you’ll be looked after, starting with your complimentary airport transfer and including all your meals, drinks, and activities.

From Suites to Glamping: Accommodations at The Ranch

Set on 6,600 acres, you’ll find a “true west” experience at The Ranch at Rock Creek. Starting with the Granite Lodge, which is the main home base during a visit at The Ranch, you will find nine guest bedrooms (Lodge Suites) here along with the great room, the dining room, the spa, and the Silver Dollar Saloon, where you will find a four-lane bowling alley and pool table. Additional accommodation options include three historic barn accommodations, seven luxury homes, and ten glamping cabins.

A little tip: if you’re visiting during warmer months, choose one night to book a luxury tent right next to the creek. If you are up around seven in the morning, you can watch from the mouth of your tent as all the horses are released from their pen for the day.

Only the Freshest Cuisine

It is unsurprising that the cuisine on offer is a celebration of Montana given that Chef Josh Drage hails from Montana himself. All included in your nightly rate, you will be treated to daily breakfast, lunch, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and coffee and tea bar. You can expect to find menus containing the freshest farm-to-table meats and produce including prime organic beef, elk, bison, free-range chicken, organic eggs, fresh fish, seasonal local fruits, vegetables, and fresh herbs, all enhanced by an inspired wine list.

The thought of having a Montana elk ribeye with flathead cherry demi-glace and a watermelon and fennel salad followed by a dessert of white chocolate macadamia nut brownies is enough to set the tastebuds alight. Plus, there is room for flexibility in the dining room, so if you would rather be out fishing the evening rise than rushing back for dinner, you won’t have to miss out on The Ranch’s remarkable culinary experience.

Rejuvenate at The Ranch

The Ranch at Rock Creek is a total experience, and an important part of that experience is rejuvenation and relaxation. In the five-room spa, which is in the stone and timber Granite Lodge, you can enjoy professional massage therapy treatments including Swedish deep tissue massage, warm mountain rock treatments, high-tech or all-natural facials, and the signature “Rock Creek Ritual.” After a vigorous day outdoors, there is nothing quite like treating yourself to a little pampering. Hair and nail styling are also available.

For the ultimate relaxation while listening to the soundtrack only nature can provide, why not try out a creekside massage? Still secluded in privacy, the sound of the waters of the creek will instantly lull you into a relaxed state of mind, allowing the talented massage therapists to relax the body.

Embrace the Outdoors

The activities menu at The Ranch at Rock Creek encompasses so much of what you think of when you think of the American West, and you will have a hard time believing it’s all included in your nightly rate, given the fact that the recreational opportunities are almost endless. Horseback ride your way around trails weaving among The Ranch’s vast acreage. Fly fish their stretch of the Blue Ribbon Rock Creek, where you will find their stocked trout ponds. Hike, observe wildlife, mountain bike. Try your hand at archery, sporting clays, or games in the Granite Lodge. There is no shortage of activity that will leave you feeling invigorated and as though you have truly gotten to know your stunning surroundings.

Should you want to leave campus (we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t), the rich surrounding communities are well worth a visit. Nearby Philipsburg, with its sloping main street, charming shops, and intriguing architecture, is a favorite of visitors. There are also plenty of other appealing sites, including ghost towns (October might have us in a spooky mood!), gem mining, live theatre, shops, rodeos, parades, festivals, historical sites, battlefields, museums, and more. Golfers will be happy to know that the Jack Nicklaus-designed Old Works Golf Course is only a short drive from The Ranch.
