Everyone knows the luxury and glamor that we have come to love from the Ritz-Carlton hotels, but fewer people realize that Ritz-Carlton has taken to sea with their yacht collection. Designed to combine the undisputed luxury of their resorts and hotels with the freedom of yachting holidays, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection brings a fabulous new option to the seas.

Introducing: Evrima

Their stunning inaugural yacht, Evrima, features 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and only accommodates a total of up to 298 guests. On the yacht’s eight decks, you will find all the spaces you’d expect to find at a high-end resort (and then some). There’s the common areas, such as The Living Room, with its chic comfortable furnishings and bestsellers to curl up with, and The Observation Lounge with top-deck views that erase the border between land and sea. There is also the pool, only steps away from The Pool House, where you can enjoy all-day dining; the pool itself is an oasis of blue, and you can enjoy frozen treats and refreshing water mistings on its sun loungers. You will also find a gym, a boutique, and a gorgeous spa. Another lovely touch is The Humidor, where you might want to head to cap off your day with a premium cognac or a hand-rolled cigar.

Dining to Delight

Of course, we’ve got to talk about the stuff to delight the tastebuds, and yours are in for a treat onboard the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. In all, there are eight dining options onboard Evrima, plus the option to indulge in a bit of in-suite dining should you wish to stay in.

The distinctive benefits of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection experience include specialty restaurants, intimate venues, and innovative menus you will never forget. In the dining options inside the yacht, you will find contemporary interiors which maintain an understated and relaxed luxury, and in the al fresco spaces, you can enjoy a more casual setting.

Spread across all of the dining experiences, you will find regionally inspired cuisine to celebrate the destinations to which the yacht travels, offering a more immersive experience in the cultural traditions surrounding you on your travels. Perhaps you will want to try a specialty dining experience at S.E.A., designed by Chef Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg, or enjoy a fresh catch al fresco as you relax poolside. Over the course of your voyage, you will likely be tempted to try all of the plentiful options, and we wouldn’t blame you one bit!

Destinations Aplenty

Most of the thoughtfully crafted sailing itineraries are seven to ten nights long, exploring both the classic and glamorous yachting destinations of the world. Most of their back-to-back voyages do not repeat ports, which makes it ideal for you to combine sailings if you’d like a longer vacation…and trust us, you will probably want more time onboard this ship!

The yacht’s smaller size also allows for tying up dockside in smaller ports, meaning you will have more time to explore, including late-night departures and many overnights. Plus, their Shore Collection allows you to easily identify shore excursions that match your interests, as they are handily divided into easy-to-understand categories (Iconic Sights, Cultural Connections, and Active Explorations, just to name a few).

Currently, itineraries include voyages to destinations such as Canada and New England in the autumn months (perfect for foliage peeping!), the Caribbean and Central America, and the Mediterranean, and you can also expect some crossing voyages, where you can unplug from everyday life and enjoy the laidback, unhurried life onboard.

Did someone say, “All-Inclusive?”

With such a high-end experience, you might not expect “all-inclusive” to be in this ship’s manifest, but you’d be wrong. Your stay onboard this yacht will include your accommodations (of course) including private terrace, access to a personal concierge (in suite categories), onboard gratuities, multiple dining venues, 24-hour in-suite dining, beverages in-suite and throughout the yacht, onboard entertainment and enrichment, a marina-style platform with access to watersports while anchored, and Wi-Fi throughout the yacht to stay in touch with your loved ones at home and make them all jealous with posts from your fabulous adventure at sea.

Safety, Safety, Safety!

Given all the health concerns for cruising in the time of COVID-19, small ships are the way to go, and this is the ultimate in luxury while still enjoying an all-inclusive experience. The first sailing of Evrima does not depart until April 22, 2021, giving Ritz-Carlton the benefit of time to fully optimize best practices within the industry before ever setting sail. These practices will include a stringent cleaning program, pre-boarding health questionnaires, touchless temperature checks for all guests and staff, and sanitation stations within easy access. The yacht also has the advantage of one of the highest space ratios at sea, which will ensure social distancing can be maintained across all public spaces onboard, something you definitely won’t find on all cruise ships. The best part is that Ritz-Carlton still has a few months to go until April, so they will be constantly monitoring the situation and revising their best practices as they see fit to ensure every single person onboard that first sailing is safe and healthy so that they can enjoy their experience and get away from worrying about COVID.

On top of everything that’s already included in your journey, several sailings are also part of the Virtuoso Voyages program, which means that we can offer some shiny little extras for Poe Travel clients taking to the sea.
