We can put together a customized itinerary for you combining as many of the properties as you wish! Poe Travel clients will enjoy extra amenities at all Four Seasons resorts and hotels along with VIP treatment from start to finish.

Welcome to the Golden Triangle

Your camp is located right on the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers, in the heart of Thailand’s famous Golden Triangle. It overlooks three countries simultaneously: Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), and Laos. Approach the camp by boat down the Ruak River, and you’ll see thick strands of bamboo and other native trees enveloping the camp. The tropical jungle atmosphere brings life and color to the area’s notorious history.

As its name suggests, the Golden Triangle is a magical place. In these misty mountains, with surreal views and wandering clouds, live some of Thailand’s oldest civilizations. Along with spectacular and unspoiled landscapes, the region also has a rich history. There are plenty of things to do in and around the area, including riding on a long-tailed boat to the spot where the Ruak River meets the mighty Mekong or taking a half-day visit to the border town in Myanmar.

Putting the “Glam” in Glamping

Generously positioned away from each other for privacy, the Tented Camp’s fifteen luxurious, fully air-conditioned tents and one Explorer’s Lodge provide guests with all the comforts you’d expect from Four Seasons.

The furnishings and décor in the tents are reminiscent of of 19th-century adventure expeditions, with handcrafted furniture, hardwood floors, mosquito nettings, and hurricane lamps. Luxurious king-sized beds take up one side of the tents, while old-fashioned, two-person hand-hammered copper bathtubs stand in the center. Outside, you’ll find a sundeck with a daybed and two massage beds, as well as an outdoor rain shower.

The Explorer’s Lodge is ideal for families or groups of close friends. This safari-style lodge comes with two airy bedrooms and a spacious deck, featuring an outdoor plunge pool with stunning views of the surrounding jungle.

Eat & Drink in the Jungle

Remote as you might be, you won’t have to go without the excellent culinary offerings you’d expect from Four Seasons. The camp restaurant, Nong Yao, is housed in an open-air thatched roof pavilion with rustic hardwood floors and offers Thai, Laotian, Burmese, and Western cuisine, truly showcasing the meld of cultures that this area of the world represents. Private dining can also be arranged, from cocktails and dinner at the riverside and sundowners on the deck of your tent to a private dinner around a campfire.

The Burma Bar is an open-air thatched-roof lounge within sight of the Elephant Camp and overlooking the river. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink and phenomenal views of the sunset. There is also the thatched-roof Wine Cellar, storing an impressive selection of international and Thai wines, where you can enjoy a wine and cheese tasting daily.

Relax & Rejuvenate

After a morning of activity, relax and cool off in the free-form pool. Soothe your aching muscles in the therapeutic swirling whirlpool. Both books overlook the river, providing you with an idyllic setting from which to watch a glorious sunset or a turquoise sky.

A trip to the spa is also a must while enjoying a stay at the Tented Camp. Set amidst the bamboo forests, you’ll find two spa pavilions with double treatment rooms. In this rustic environment of simple luxury, traditional Thai massage and innovative ritual, assisted by the healing power of nature found in mountain botanicals and warming spices, guide you on a restorative journey.
