Elimination of Single-Use Plastic
In partnership with VERO WATER, a sustainability-focused filtered water provider, Rosewood Baha Mar has officially eliminated single-use plastic across the resort. New water service stations around the property (pool, beach, public areas, etc.), have been installed for guests to easily refill their new bottles and hydrate on the go, and drinking water within the guest rooms can be found in glass bottles rather than plastic.
Conservation of Natural Resources
In keeping with the Rosewood's Verdes® initiative to minimize the ecological footprint of its hotels, guests have the opportunity to join in conserving natural resources during their stay in a couple of ways.
Water Conservation – sheets are laundered every other day unless requested, and guests have the option to replace or reuse their towels dependent on placement after use.
Elimination of Plastic & Non-Biodegradable Materials – adoption of large volume bottles and bamboo toiletries within bio-degradable or reusable packaging in all guest rooms
Zero Waste in Places, People, & Processes
Through partnership with FOODPRINT Group, the resort has implemented changes within their operations to work toward a Zero Waste design. This includes:
Front & back of house design changes to reduce waste and improve recycling
Implementation of circular strategies for waste removal
