We have been friends with Nicolas at Odyssee Prestige for longer than we can remember, and he always knows the latest and greatest goings on in France. As an on-the-ground guide, Nicolas has treated many a Poe Travel client to unforgettable experiences in all corners of France, and everyone comes home singing his praises.
When Nicolas recently shared some particularly exciting news, we knew we needed to share it with you. He and his wife, Véronique, have opened Spoturno, their very own luxury boutique perfumery in the heart of Paris. Naturally, we have some exclusive experiences available for guests led by their noses who simply cannot resist a delectable scent.
Location, Location, Location
Spoturno’s flagship store is located within the Galerie Vivienne, a true 19th-century gem and precursor to the modern shopping arcade concept.
Along with the perfumery, you can find a number of luxury boutiques here, along with a remarkable bookshop and the renowned Maison Legrand, which has been advising clients since 1880, offering tastings, and selling exceptional wines. Those who love retail therapy, particularly in outside-the-box settings, could spend a whole day simply exploring here.
Maison Spoturno
Spoturno is a brand with a powerful heritage—and one with American ties at that! Véronique Spoturno is the great-granddaughter of François Spoturno dit Coty, largely recognized in the United States as one of the most influential perfumers of the early 20th century.
This location marks Spoturno’s first ever boutique, and it was only opened in March 2026. The space is decorated in Spoturno’s signature green with to-die-for parquet flooring that just screams Paris.
Along with his perfumes, Véronique’s grandfather was famous for his Air Spun face powders, something Spoturno has decided to revive alongside their beautiful scents created by Christopher Sheldrake, the mastermind behind Chanel and Serge Lutens. Beauty powders were a perfume ritual common in the 1930s but have been largely forgotten in the modern world, something Spoturno hopes to rectify. Their powder is scented with its 1921 fragrance, launched in 2022 and also composed by Sheldrake, and functions as both a fragrance and body care ritual. The powder is applied with a large powder puff for a subtle and silky finish and scent.
Exclusive Experiences at Spoturno
Because of our close relationship with both Nicolas and Véronique, we are able to offer some wonderfully exclusive experiences at the Spoturno boutique and beyond.
At the shop itself, there are many archives related to Véronique’s family history in perfumery, which Véronique herself can show you as she gives you a tour. Of course, you’ll also have the chance to smell and sample all of the perfumes as Véronique regales you with her heritage and history, having grown up in one of the perfume industry’s most important families.
If you are interested in a larger experience that incorporates a visit to Spoturno while also exploring more of the nooks and crannies of the area, Nicolas can show you around for a private half-day tour to the 19th-century covered passages of Paris, elegant galleries of the Palais Royal Garden, a doll doctor shop, and even the bench where it is said that Bonaparte proposed to Josephine.
Finally, for those who want to learn more about perfumes and even try your hand at creating a scent, we can offer a bespoke perfume workshop hosted right in Véronique’s own studio. Accompanied by your private guide, you will head to this perfume expert’s studio to learn the inside knowledge through her expertise and craft your own personal fragrance composed of five basic scents. You will leave this private perfume workshop with your own perfume bottle and the recipe of the elixirs you have created. What an incredible souvenir by which to remember your journey to Paris.
