Get a little taste of Indonesia without the long flight as Bali meets Mexican hacienda style at Casa La Laguna, a seven-bedroom villa in Los Cabos, Mexico located on a semi-private beach. With beautiful rock formations and tide pools just in front of the property, you’ll enjoy four levels of unobstructed views of the Sea of Cortez, which you can see from every room. The Sea of Cortez is known as “The World’s Aquarium,” and you and your family will learn why. If you visit between December and April, you can witness the most significant whale migration in the world right from your own villa. Why not hop in one of the kayaks provided at the villa and paddle right out to see them?

The villa comes with a staff of nine, which is included in the nightly rate and features a gourmet chef, butler, massage therapist, housekeeper, and a driver. You’ll be stunned by the sparkling two-level pool, which features an upper wading pool, a 15-foot slide that children and adults will not be able to resist, and a lower infinity pool large enough for lapping. There is also a humongous beachfront Jacuzzi with room for 12-15 guests. The villa’s staff rakes the beach and sets up beach chairs and umbrellas for you each day of your stay. The fantastic butler will be there for you daily, serving you drinks wherever you are and taking care of your every need while you enjoy paradise. When you’re not enjoying cocktails on the beach, head in for relaxation in the in-villa spa, which features Chanel products. Ooh, la la!

The villa is perfect for a large family or group of friends, accommodating between 15 and 18 guests, depending on your configuration. Given that there are seven bedrooms, you could also bring slightly smaller groups. It features three bedrooms with king-sized beds that can also accommodate 1-2 portable twins (not rollaways) or baby cribs. There are also three bedrooms with queen-sized beds, and one bedroom with a queen and a twin-sized bed. One of the queen bedrooms is also equipped for anyone with mobility issues. Its bathroom has a large shower with a seat, and there is a ramp from this bedroom to the common area to avoid the half-stairs down. Families with small children will be happy to know that Casa La Laguna has two baby cribs, two high chairs, and a Pack-n-Play onsite, should you wish to utilize them. They also have systems to block the tops of the stairs so toddlers can’t get through, and the bars on the villa’s wrought iron fences are tight enough that toddlers and babies cannot attempt a great escape!

Casa La Laguna is located just five minutes from the very well-known Los Cabos Farm-to-Table scene, which includes Flora Farms and ACRE, both of which we highly recommend visiting during your stay, especially if you’re a foodie! Only 11 minutes’ drive away, you can visit the Mexican colonial town of San Jose del Cabo, where you can dine at world-class restaurants, visit resorts for the day if you’d like, or partake in some high-end shopping. The more vivacious Cabo San Lucas is also within easy reach, should you wish to spice things up a bit. Golfers will be happy to know that there are renowned Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman courses only seven minutes away at Puerto Los Cabos. Here, you’ll also find a world-class marina, where you can swim with dolphins, more whale watching, and fishing trips or yacht charters. Other activities in close vicinity to Casa La Laguna include ATV riding, horseback riding, swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and fishing.

Casa La Laguna has already released their very competitive rates through 2022, so whether you’re looking for a more immediate getaway or planning for the future, this sparkling gem on the coast of the Sea of Cortez is definitely one to keep in mind. Don’t mind us—we’ll just be heading into the weekend dreaming about relaxing in beach chairs with a cocktail in hand!
